She Tells is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organisation based in Larissa, Greece, founded in 2024. Our mission is to promote gender equality, youth empowerment, and migrant inclusion through education, storytelling, and advocacy. We believe in the transformative power of knowledge, connection, and care, and design initiatives that combine professional development, intercultural dialogue, and rights awareness.

Our aim is to empower youth—especially women and individuals from underrepresented groups—by equipping them with the skills, networks, and confidence to thrive. We focus on:

Selected Projects & Achievements
Distant Dream (AU–EU Cooperation Grant, 2025): A multimedia initiative on refugee youth access to higher education in Greece & Kenya, combining workshops, focus groups, documentary film production, and advocacy campaigns.
Unscripted: Breaking Gender Norms Across the Mediterranean (Anna Lindh Foundation, 2025): Interactive activities at the ALF Forum in Tirana addressing gender stereotypes through role-reversals, debates, and cultural dialogue.
Erasmus+ Projects (KA1 & KA2): Including Green Project Lab (sustainability) and Coding for Change (digitalisation) in Poland.
Education & Empowerment Programmes: 30+ company visits, 10+ scholarships awarded, 50+ engaged participants since 2024.
Structure & Team
She Tells operates with 20+ volunteers and a core team combining expertise in human rights, international studies, sustainability, and communication. Founder Aglaia Orfanidou holds degrees in International and European Studies and Media, Human Rights & Democracy. Project Manager Efrosini Nakou is a microbiologist with expertise in circular economy and NGO administration.

Active role in Erasmus+ consortia and youth networks across Europe.
Despite being a young organisation, She Tells has already demonstrated its capacity to implement impactful local and international projects, empowering youth and fostering intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
