The choral family of the choral society of Preveza “Armonia” is a point of reference for the city and the country, consistently serving artistic quality, education, and outward engagement. At its core are the Mixed Choir—with many years of activity, significant collaborations, and distinctions in Greece and abroad—and the Children’s Choir, which functions as a vibrant incubator of young choristers, cultivating from an early age vocal technique, musical training, and teamwThe Mixed Choir has presented emblematic works of the Greek and international repertoire and has participated in leading events and landmark appearances. With a steady commitment to acoustic excellence and expressive interpretation, it has won awards in international competitions and collaborated with major artistic institutions. In parallel, the choir plays a leading role in organizing and hosting the Preveza International Choral Festival, enhancing the cultural life of the region and international choral networking.
The Children’s Choir nurtures the voices of the new generation through a multi-layered pedagogical program (breathing exercises, vocal placement, rhythm training, theory), age-based levels, and participation in concerts, festivals, and collaborations with the Mixed Choir. Its repertoire ranges from Greek tradition to art and contemporary music, with tailored arrangements and careful attention to language and expressive delivery.
The two ensembles often come together in joint productions—intergenerational bridge-concerts, tributes, and participatory projects—that highlight continuity, knowledge transfer, and the social dimension of the choral art. With high-level artistic guidance and ongoing training, Armonia continues to inspire, educate, and offer culture in Preveza and beyond.
