The Artistic Pedagogic Organization “Schedia stin poli” is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation, founded in Thessaloniki. It was created on 1999 as an informal group and from 2007 has the legal form of non profit, non governmental organization. Its membership includes teachers, social workers, psychologists and artists interested in social awareness through arts.
Its vision is to contribute in efforts for an inclusive society with respect for human rights and an education of acceptance where all children and youngsters have equal learning opportunities. 
Its mission is to promote volunteerism and solidarity, empower creative youth participation, raise awareness among kids and youth on social issues through arts and foster cooperation of NGOs and young people. The actions of the organisation focus on the topics: inclusion, human rights, value of Non-Formal Education, active participation and ecological awareness in our local communities.


Our actions involve:
Training young volunteers & teachers, implementing voluntary projects for kids and young people with fewer opportunities, designing educational programs in public schools for students in primary education, organizing training courses and seminars based on interactive, no formal education, creating open events, sensitization actions and art events in the city, participating in festivals, European projects and international youth exchanges.
Networking:
• Cooperation with other NGOs, public schools, institutes and authorities, in local and regional level
• Founding member of “ Thess-Dictio”,Thessaloniki ‘s NGOs Network (Network of 35 organizations with local action)
• Member of Anna Lindh Foundation for Euro-med cooperation
• Certified Hosting Organization in European Solidarity Corps E.U. program
• Certified Organization from Ministry of Culture
• Cooperation with public schools for implementation of educational programs certified from Ministry of Education.
• Participation in European programs as leader or partner in many countries.

About Us

The Hellenic Foundation for Culture leads and coordinates the Greek National Network of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures. The network’s co-lead is the civil non-profit organization “United Societies of Balkans,” which works together with the Foundation to achieve the network’s objectives.
