EN.O Greece (Environment Online Greece) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Thessaloniki, established in 2012. It is dedicated to promoting social inclusion, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable development through non-formal education and international cooperation. Over the past decade, the organisation has grown into a trusted partner in youth and adult education, recognised both nationally and internationally for its innovative projects and community impact.
EN.O Greece was founded with the vision of creating a society where young people and adults alike can participate actively, responsibly, and creatively in shaping their future. The organisation believes in the transformative power of education — particularly non-formal learning — as a tool to strengthen democratic participation, bridge cultural divides, and empower individuals to respond to global challenges.

EN.O Greece operates in several key fields, addressing pressing societal challenges:
-Human rights and gender equality – promoting awareness campaigns, workshops, and training for youth and educators to combat discrimination and foster equal opportunities.
-ICT and new technologies – developing media literacy programmes, digital skills trainings, and innovative online platforms for education.
-Environment, art, and culture – running initiatives that combine ecological awareness with creative expression, including eco-art exhibitions and sustainable living campaigns.
-Youth policies, job market, and employability – offering non-formal training that improves employability, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills among young people.
-Prevention of xenophobia, extremism, and radicalisation – designing intercultural dialogue projects and anti-hate-speech initiatives to strengthen social cohesion.
Each of these areas is approached with a holistic methodology that combines education, advocacy, and community engagement, ensuring that impact is both immediate and long-lasting.
The Youth Department of EN.O Greece is a central pillar of its activities, engaging young people aged 13–30 in mobility opportunities, training courses, workshops, exchanges, and local initiatives. Through Erasmus+ and other international programmes, hundreds of young participants each year gain first-hand experience of intercultural learning, active citizenship, and skills development.
Notable initiatives include:
-Youth exchanges on topics such as social inclusion, digital creativity, active citizenship, and sustainability.
-Local workshops in Thessaloniki and beyond, focused on media literacy, combating fake news, and developing soft skills.
-Awareness-raising campaigns against hate speech and radicalisation, co-created with young activists.
These initiatives ensure that international cooperation translates into grassroots impact, empowering young people in both their personal development and their civic engagement.
In 2016, EN.O Greece was officially recognised as an Adult Education Training Centre, expanding its activities to educators, youth workers, and lifelong learners.
The Adult Education Department designs and delivers training in areas such as:
-Non-formal education methodologies for teachers and trainers.
-Digital literacy and use of ICT tools in classrooms.
-Inclusive education for disadvantaged groups.
-Environmental sustainability and green skills for professionals and community leaders.
Through Erasmus+ staff mobility and KA2 projects, the department provides opportunities for educators to exchange practices internationally, ensuring a constant flow of innovation and professional development. Over the years, hundreds of teachers, trainers, and adult learners have benefited from these initiatives, creating ripple effects in local communities and educational systems.
Since 2014, EN.O Greece has been deeply involved in the Erasmus+ programme, participating in over 130 projects across Europe. These include youth exchanges, training courses, seminars, partnership building activities, and small-scale partnerships.
The organisation has also coordinated numerous projects as applicant, including:

-6 staff mobility projects
-2 KA2 small-scale partnerships (in the youth and adults fields)
Several of these projects have been recognised as Erasmus+ Good Practices by the European Commission, highlighting the quality, relevance, and impact of the organisation’s work.
The organisation’s methodological approach is rooted in non-formal education, combining experiential learning, peer-to-peer exchange, media literacy, and digital tools. This ensures active participation and empowers learners to take ownership of their development. Activities are designed not only to provide knowledge but also to build transferable skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving.
EN.O Greece has established strong collaborations with municipalities and universities through signed bilateral agreements. These partnerships enable joint initiatives, research, and events that enhance the organisation’s reach and credibility.
At the international level, EN.O Greece is a member of the Anna Lindh Foundation Network and the DARE Network (Democracy and Human Rights Education in Europe), connecting it to Euro-Mediterranean and European civil society. Through these networks, the organisation contributes to policy discussions, shares best practices, and participates in regional projects that strengthen intercultural dialogue.
The organisation places a strong emphasis on dissemination and visibility. Project results are shared through interactive workshops, info sessions, local events, and collaborations with municipalities and universities.
