ComMedi (Communities of Mediterranean) is a vibrant social enterprise based in Tyrnavos, Greece, dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening civil society through education, arts, culture, and community engagement. Established with a mission to promote active citizenship and intercultural dialogue, ComMedi addresses critical social issues such as mental health, inclusion, and the empowerment of marginalized groups, including immigrants, Roma, NEETs, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

Although a newly formed organization, ComMedi’s team comprises seasoned professionals with decades of experience in EU-funded projects, including Erasmus+ and Creative Europe initiatives. Our expertise spans non-formal and informal education, youth empowerment, creative arts, and mental health promotion. ComMedi implements local and international projects, collaborating with schools, NGOs, municipalities, and artists to deliver transformative workshops, cultural programs, and capacity-building activities.

Our work is rooted in experiential learning and innovative methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral coaching and arts-based approaches, which inspire creativity, foster resilience, and drive meaningful change. By connecting communities and promoting social inclusion, ComMedi strives to create a dynamic and inclusive Mediterranean region where democracy, cultural exchange, and civic engagement thrive.
ComMedi (Communities of Mediterranean) actively engages in a wide range of activities aimed at youth empowerment, social inclusion, creative education, mental health, and sustainability. The organization’s innovative approaches to addressing societal challenges are grounded in years of collective experience and are further enriched by its active participation in initiatives that align with the principles of the European Green Deal.
