PRAXIS is a non-governmental youth organization in Northern Greece, founded in 1995 and active in the fields of Youth Policy, Media, Migration, Human Rights and Lifelong Learning. Offering a wide range of activities that support the development and empowerment of Greek society. PRAXIS promotes the Development of Youth Participation at the Local Level, with the aim of strengthening the ability of young people to be active citizens, to bring about positive social change both in their local communities and in the international reality.
The activities:
1) Organization and conduct of international campaigns that promote social and human values.
2) Production of radio broadcasts
3) Contribution to the work of the Youth Information Center.
4) Cooperation with schools.
5) Creation of digital and outdoor events that inspire further action for equal participation of all genders.
6) Outdoor activities - environmental: cleaning days, tree replanting, use of applications for smart phones, by active citizens: https://cleanserres.gr/
6) Activities aimed at refugees, workshops, language courses.
7) Creation and implementation of extroverted cultural exchange activities.
8) Leisure activities.
9) Training courses that develop the skills of youth leaders. (e.g. “Different youth identities”, “Leadership skills for youth”, “Visibility”, “critical thinking”, “Sport as a tool for inclusion”, etc.).0) Creating a “space” for retirees and young aspiring entrepreneurs/workers to come together and commit to collaborating in ways that support active and healthy aging, as well as meaningful transfer of know-how and lifelong experience, thus creating a mutually beneficial interaction between the elderly and the young.
